PES has a series of stop animations that is following a classic recipe, but its ingredients are full of surprises. I won’t spoil the absolute delight you will have watching it for the first time.
Stop motion is an art form that combines ingenuity and meticulousness. I think a lot of people have this misconception that art comes easy for artists, that when they put down the pen every time they create incredible pieces. What many people forget is that most if not all the beautiful artworks are results of rigorous planning, drafting, and revising. Stop motion films, in my opinion, are reminders for us that art is a creative process, but it also requires patience and confidence. The artists behind stop motion films understand that their works take time, but they also had confidence that this effort will be worth it. I am very glad to see the resurgence of stop animation films such as Kubo and the Two Strings and its financial success as well. The dedication behind stop animation is something shared by all artists and creators, and I think it’s important for the audience to realize that.
