Material Ecology

One of my friends from home recently had Neri Oxman as a guest lecturer and told me to look her up. Oxman is an incredibly cool architect/designer/academic who “conducts research at the intersection of computational design, digital fabrication, materials science and synthetic biology.” She received her PhD in Design Computation as a Presidential Fellow at MIT and created the field “Material Ecology” to describe her work.
